ECM Records MICK GOODRICK, FRED HERSCH : FEEBLES, FABLES AND FERNS CD

Feebles, Fables and Ferns documents the only recorded meeting between guitarist Mick Goodrick and pianist Fred Hersch, captured in Hersch’s New York studio in August 1988. Their intimate dialogue reveals profound listening, expressive range and playfully intertwined lines. The programme combines compositions by Goodrick and Hersch with pieces by Steve Swallow, Johnny Green and Mal Waldron, alongside the spontaneous improvisations of “Five Excursions”.
