ECM Records JUDITH BERKSON, TREVOR DUNN, GERALD CLEAVER: THEETHEYTHY CD

Following Oylam from 2010, mezzo-soprano, pianist, composer and improviser Judith Berkson returns with another compelling and difficult-to-classify artistic statement. Leading a trio with Trevor Dunn and Gerald Cleaver, she moves through a radically changing programme of new prayer settings, original songs, vocal experimentation and improvised piano. The intimate music draws on jazz, song and avant-garde traditions while incorporating minimalism and conceptual art. Produced by Manfred Eicher.
