ECM Records AYUMI TANAKA : WINDFLOWER CD

Sparse, subtle and shaped as much by silence as by sound, Windflower reaffirms Ayumi Tanaka’s focused musical approach. Most of the album was created collectively, with all three musicians shaping the music in the moment. The trio first played together in Oslo in September 2024 and recorded the album at Studios La Buissonne in May 2025. It features eight luminous free ballads and Tanaka’s composition “La Source”.
